Yamaha's answer to Cambridge congestion, London commuting - and sitting on the A14... "We're all trying to get our work-life balance just right... The X-MAX 300 has the power to make every day easier, simpler and more enjoyable. Equipped with motorcycle style forks and large wheels, the compact chassis gives you agile sports handling with business class comfort - while the powerful and efficient new Blue Core engine has all the performance you need for fast commuting or weekend escapes." Yamaha UK Press Release ![]() "It never ceases to amaze me why city commuters in the UK aren’t flocking to two wheels rather than pay extortionate public transport fees and then still have to deal with their terrible reliability and service. Having ridden the new Yamaha X-MAX 300, I am even more bamboozled. If you sign up to a PCP plan, the X-MAX will cost you £65 a month after a £1054 deposit. This is the same as a single week’s peak time commute from Croydon to London Bridge (£11.30 a day), four (almost, it’s £17.50 a day) London Zone 1-6 anytime Travelcards, and these are just two examples, the list of commuter rip-offs goes on and on".
