Royal Enfield, part of Eicher Motors, has acquired “all assets, employees, trade names, technical know-now and intellectual property” of Harris Performance Products limited.
Royal Enfield CEO Siddartha Lal said, “Royal Enfield is working on its new generation of products and platforms. To have the Harris Performance team dedicatedly working with us will clearly enhance our engineering and product design capabilities. All the current staff at Harris Performance will become employees of Royal Enfield, taking responsibility of performance and development engineering of our new range of motorcycles. They will be part of the UK Tech Centre.” ![]()
E-Bike specialists Batribike and Oxygen have finally launched the result of a new shared-technology initiative, "Hand Built in Britain".
The STORM, a full suspension electric bike, is now available through the two companies' respective dealer networks, badged as Batribike STORM and Oxygen MTB-X respectively. The specification is impressive - these 24-speed bikes are powered by 250W rear hub motors, 36v 10.4Ah Samsung lithium batteries and include lockout forks, disc brakes, and chunky 28" puncture resistant tyres as standard. The Batribike-branded models. as supplied by Haywards of Cambridge, include the Datatag Stealth Pro security system in their £1599-00 price tag.
