Price: £5,999 on the road, including three year warranty. We've been informed by the DVLA that increased random trailer inspections will be carried out on the Queen's Highway (including lay-bys and motorway service stations) from 1st September 2019. View the Department of Transport report on Trailer Safety here (63 pages). The report mentions a proposal to ban the use of tyres "ten years or older on certain vehicle types". While trailers weighing less than 3,500kg don’t currently need an MOT, the cars and vans that tow them do. The car MOT test now includes an inspection of all trailer towing and electric equipment. If you own an 'old' motorcycle trailer, and need advice regarding its general roadworthiness, contact Nick or Rowan at the Girton Garage on 01223 277949 / 276128.
